How to change IP address on HP switch without restarting - Step by step with screenshots
In a case you want to change your HP Procurve Switch IP address to a dynamic address, reservation address or static address, you don't need to reboot it.
1. Open web utility by enter http://HP switch IP address. 2. Navigate to Home>Quick Setup. 3. In Switch Quick Setup Parameters, click Configure. 4. In the IP Mode, you can select Manual or DHCP. Then click Save.
Note: if you want to use DHCP Reservation, you don't need to restart the switch. You just make the reservation on DHCP and then change the settings fro manual to DHCP.
